1964 Toyota FJ40 4WD is a great combination of vintage style and
modern technology. A well documented build with receipts to prove
it, this truck has been significantly upgraded and enhanced since
its magazine feature. Starting with a fully messaged body and
frame, the rust-free platform presents as new. Custom front and
rear bumpers provide a rugged off road appearance. Rear doors
consist of versatile hatch and barn doors. Finished in classic
Toyota Rustic Green with cream top and trim, with classic polished
vintage wheels.
Inside, Master Craft bucket seats combine with correctly finished
metal panels make the classic industrial look of the original truck
stand out. Automatic transmission, power steering and air
conditioning make this one fun to drive.
On the outside the unmistakable profile of the FJ40 is raised by a
set of 35'' BFG KM2 tires mounted on a Spring-under Axle setup from
a Toyota truck. The rear suspension was replaced with a modern
Toyota mini truck, swapping the rear drums to disk at the same
time. An upgraded set of Bilstein 5100-series shocks keep the tires
firmly planted. Under the Mickey Thompson 15'' x 8'' wheels, the
disc brakes are powered by a Wilwood master cylinder.
Best of all, this show quality restoration was treated to the best
upgrade of all... a 5.3L GM LS V8 with Turbo 350 automatic
transmission and 4WD transfer case. This FJ has the looks, quality
