Vehicle Description
Welcome to StreetDreamsTexas as we celebrate our 21st year in the
classic and muscle car business. The Jeep Scrambler, also known as
the CJ-8, is a long-wheelbase version of the CJ-7 with a removable
half cab, creating a small pickup-style cargo box. Produced from
1981-1986 in small numbers (8,355 in 1981, 27,792 total), these
attractive and rugged brutes are beginning to attract the attention
they deserve from collectors and enthusiasts alike. Recently
showcased in Hagerty Magazine as one of the 10 hottest collector
vehicles on the market, Scramblers in good condition are
appreciating. Our sharp 1981 Scrambler is an excellent example,
with no wavy body panels or visible damage but plenty of attitude.
Powered by Jeep's ubiquitous 4.2L I6, this reliable and smooth
engine now breathes through a new Weber carburetor. Additional
features include power steering, power front disc brakes, air
conditioning, TH350 automatic transmission, a Kenwood stereo, new
paint, spray in bedliner, 3.73 gear ratios, and 32x11.50R15LT
tires. This Scrambler is in outstanding condition top to bottom,
and we'll have additional images illustrating this soon. Here's the
exciting part. Since Hagerty and others have brought attention to
the Bronco, their values have soared. But Ford built almost 10
TIMES as many first generation Broncos as Jeep did Scramblers
(225,585 vs. 27,792) over 6 years! If you appreciate appreciation,
this might be your next truck. Street Dreams is a full service
