We have a beautiful Butternut Yellow 1965 Chevrolet Impala SS
Convertible that just came in here to Skyway Classics that is an
amazing time capsule. It is verified as a real SS Impala V8 by the
vin# having the 166 code in it. Ours is vin # 166675S223122!
Mechanical
Our SS is powered by what we believe to be the number's matching
327 cubic inch V8 engine and an automatic transmission, 10-bolt
rear end, and power brakes, original painted factory intake and
valve covers, as well as the "Rams Horn" performance factory iron
exhaust manifolds, black factory air cleaner, and sits in a clean
engine compartment.
Our research also shows that a true 1965 Impala SS had the standard
10-bolt unitopen hypoid differential, a stronger GM axle, known as
the 12-bolt, was optional. Ours does have the standard 10-bolt.
It rides on steel wheels with factory wire wheel covers, white wall
radial tires, and a dual exhaust system that gives a great
sound.
Interior
The interior features a set of black bucket seats that looks like
they did back when it was new. The black carpet, center stainless
counsel, all of the knobs, as well the door jams plates are in
great condition along with the dash and the backseats.
It has the factory gauges and steering wheel, AM/FM radio, and the
black convertible top looks great and feels great when driving with
the wind in your hair.
Exterior
The SS has gorgeous Butternut Yellow paint, chrome, trim, bumpers,
and emblems, that are in great condition, as is all of the glass
around the entire vehicle.
The twin antennas really and a vintage touch of class to the real
of the Impala and the SS emblems always attract the right amount of
attention to this ride.
