Frame off build completed 2016 and currently has 1800 miles on it so all the kinks have been addressed. My father-in-law, a former GM Engineer, decided to build the first car he ever owned, the 56' (middle child) Chevy 210. When we would visit them in Michigan, I got to see this beauty be put together over a 3 year span. When he finished and he unveiled it, I didn't know where I was in the pecking order but I had to have it. I walked around the outside and just put my phone down far enough to get some pics of the undercarriage. I didn't realize until I looked at the pics a few days later how good the condition the car was in. I told him if he ever sold it, I would like a shot at it. Besides working on the little things that need addressed after a build, I haven't done anything to it other than the new tires and rims. It does have a small scratch in the interior door.
The following is the information he provided me when I bought it. It has a 350 Crate Motor with Vortec Heads, Flat-top pistons and reportedly produces around 330hp (Serial Number 13207585/Part Number F57101 2010). Front Disc Brakes from a 72 Chevelle and the rear are rotors. I'm told it has 3:36 gears (not posi) and it has been rebuilt since I've owned it. He said it is equipped with a Borg-Warner T-5 (5 speed manual) with the gear box from an 84 Camaro, the tail housing and main shaft is an 84 S-10 Pick-up. Clutch and pressure plate is from '84 Camaro 101/2". All the dash has been replaced with new parts including a Dakota digital Dash instrument panel. With less than a 1000 miles, the rear tires are 275/40ZR18's and the fronts are 255/45ZR18. It's clean, reliable and a head turner for sure.
