Vehicle Description
While many are familiar with the term Depot Hack, the origin of the
term is not so well known. During the time, long distance travel
was done by train, and the Depot Hack was specifically designed to
carry passengers and their luggage from the train station or Depot,
to their final destination, typically a hotel. The Depot Hack was
not part of Ford's catalogue of body styles; rather, early
independent coach-builders would manufacturer bodies and purchase
the "T" chassis from Ford. The bodies were then fitted and sold as
complete units.
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1927 Ford Model T Depot
Hack for consideration. This model features a wood body and a
freshly rebuilt engine. The engine produces a whopping 20hp and is
mated to a 2-speed planetary transmission. This Model T runs and
drives great! It is a well sorted Depot Hack that is ready to go.
The headlights, a taillight, turn signals, and brake lights all
work. This model T is very zippy, and a blast to drive!
