For owners who wanted a step up from the DB9, but weren't quite
looking for James Bond's DBS, there was the Virage. Announced at
the 2011 Geneva International Motor Show, the luxury GT sports car
that revived the classic Aston Martin model name was only produced
for the 2012 model year.
Although the Virage appeared similar to the DB9, the car sat lower
and wider than its predecessor, and all the body panels were
brand-new. Further styling enhancements included Rapide headlights,
a grille inspired by the One-77, and the longest side strakes ever
fitted to a production Aston Martin, all culminating in one of
Aston Martin's best designs of the DB9 era. Fitted with the
6.0-litre V-12 engine, the power output was improved with an
additional 20 bhp-driving power ever closer to 500 bhp. Touchtronic
transmission was fitted as standard, as were the DBS carbon-ceramic
matrix brakes. Throughout the interior other classic Aston Martin
elements were included, with glass buttons, contrast stitching, and
pop-up navigation screen.

produced, in the showstopping colour combination of Madagascar
Orange over black leather, the same colours that wowed the crowd at
the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. With two owners from new and a main
dealer service history documented by its original books, this

F�r K�ufer, die etwas mehr wollten als einen DB9, aber nicht gleich
James Bonds DBS in ihre Garage stellen wollten, bot Aston Martin
den Virage an. Der 2011 auf dem Genfer Automobilsalon vorgestellte
Luxus-GT mit dem klassischen Aston Martin Modellnamen wurde nur ein
Modelljahr lang 2012 produziert.
Obwohl der Virage �u�erlich dem DB9 �hnlich sah, unterschied er
sich doch in wesentlichen Punkten: so lag der Neue deutlich
niedriger und war breiter als das Schwestermodell, und auch alle
Blechteile waren unterschiedlich. Weitere Optikunterschiede waren
Scheinwerfer vom Rapide, ein vom One-77 inspirierter K�hlergrill
und die l�ngsten seitlichen Lufteinl�sse an einem Aston Martin -
alles zusammen ergab eines der besten Designs der DB9 �ra. Der
Sechsliter V12 bot hier dank 20 PS Mehrleistung knapp 500 PS. Eine
Touchtronic-Automatik war Serie, wie auch die Karbon-Keramikbremsen
aus dem DBS. Im Interieur fanden sich andere Aston Martin Elemente
wieder, wie gl�serne Kn�pfe, farblich abgesetzte Lederkeder und ein
aufklappbarer Navigationsbildschirm.
Das hier angebotene Virage Coupe ist eines von nur 656 gebauten
Exemplaren und pr�sentiert sich in der gleichen Farbkombination von
madagaskar orange mit schwarzem Leder wie das Ausstellungsfahrzeug
