Vehicle Description
This 1971 Chevrolet K20 Cheyenne 4x4 Pickup is a very clean and
solid truck from the Pacific NW. We like to buy our trucks from out
there because they are rust free and usually well maintained. The
truck was frame on restored 2-3 years ago and they did a very nice
job. It has a great look with the 2-tone paint and Cheyenne
moldings. It is a great running and driving truck. The body is very
straight and excellent. The truck used to be Ochre and White, but
was repainted Red & White with a very quality paint job. This was
frame on restored because the original underside was so nice and
clean (see pics). Looks to be all original metal with no patches
with the exception of the drivers side rocker which was replaced.
(Rockers are a very common area to replace). All of the chrome and
trim are in excellent condition.
The interior was totally restored. Seat was recovered, new carpet,
new dash pad, new headliner, new door panels. The original AM radio
is still in place (not working) and the interior is very stock and
very original looking. All of the lights, gauges, wipers, and heat
are working. Horn was not working.
This truck is excellent mechanically. The engine is a mildly built
350 V8 with a Pete Jackson Gear Drive instead of a timing chain
(has a really cool sound). It also has Doug Thorley Stainless
Headers and 3 Inch Dual Flowmaster exhaust. This truck sounds
great!! (see video). Other items include an Aluminum Radiator,
Edelbrock Aluminum Intake, and a Quadrajet 4 Barrel Carb. The
engine runs really nice and has great power. The transmission is a
Turbo 350 Automatic mated to a NP205 Transfer Case. All 4WD drive
items are working as they should be. It has a 14 Bolt Rear Axle and
a DANA 44 Front Axle with Heavy Duty Hubs and Front Disc Brakes. It
also has Power Steering. As stated earlier this truck runs and
drives really nice.
