Vehicle Description
If you clicked this ad, we don't need to sell you on the virtues of
the first-generation Camaro. You already know it's an attractive,
comfortable, quick and all-around cool classic. In fact, it was
even voted the Best Chevy of All Time during Chevrolet's 100th
anniversary celebration. That said, falling for a killer F1 is
easy. The difficult part is finding a unique, well-restored car
that'll keep you happy for years to come. Luckily, your friends at
RK Motors Charlotte have a real knack for finding standout builds.
And this incredible Camaro, wrapping a twin-turbo LS3 in top-notch
customization, is about as standout as it gets. So, if the panther
bug has bitten you, take a closer look at this killer bowtie!
CAMARO WITH A DASH OF CUSTOM
The beneficiary of a ground-up, multi-year build that was completed
in late 2018, this crouched cruiser was entirely disassembled and
carefully stripped of its dull, original pigment. Once that prep
was complete, an incredibly straight fuselage was tweaked to
better-than-factory alignment and blanketed in clean PPG Summit
White 2-stage. That pigment was lovingly detailed with sinister
hockey stripes. And today, This Chevy rolls with enough style to
challenge pretty much anything at the show!
There's no question that the 1969 Camaro is one of the best-looking
muscle cars of all time. At the front of this slick coupe, an "RS"
branded grille hangs requisite Rally Sport headlights above a
mirrored bumper, factory parking lamps and a familiar D80 chin
spoiler. Above that grille, a Camaro-branded header leads a low ZL2
hood, which fronts smoked glass that's lined with pristine
stainless. At the sides of that glass, a polished mirror reflects
optional quarter louvers, polished door handles and modern
Chevrolet "RS" emblems. And at the back of the car, a Super
Sport-style valance centers a fourth "RS" emblem between modern
taillights, a second D80 spoiler, a second mirrored bumper and
retro Rally Sport reverse lamps.
TURBO LIFE
Gaze upon this Chevy's smooth engine bay and you'll find 6.2 liters
of rowdy LS3 that's been piped to not one, but two turbochargers!
Professionally assembled by Lenoir, North Carolina's Hot Rod
Dynamics, and professionally tuned by Maiden, North Carolina's
Brutal Speed, this serene mill currently produces somewhere between
700 and 800 horsepower. At the top of the buff block, remote
filters pipe cool wind into Holley Sniper EFI induction. That
perfect air/fuel mixture falls into factory GM heads, which tilt
color-keyed Hot Rod Dynamics rail covers over an aftermarket cam
that lowers compression. Sleeved plug wires snake through custom
Hot Rod Dynamics headers. In front of those tubes, a snazzy Concept
One serpentine drive spins modern air conditioning opposite modern
power steering and a muted Powermaster alternator. Cooling comes
courtesy of a big aluminum radiator that's paired with a
quick-spinning puller fan. And accessories like a deep Holley oil
pan, a quality Wilwood master cylinder and Billet Rides airframed
fender braces ensure this Camaro will wow showgoers and gearheads
alike.
RESTO-ED AND MODDED
Take a gander under this cool F-Body and you'll find a
custom-fabricated chassis that mixes new age athleticism with old
school durability. At the center of the car's mini-tubbed floors, a
proven Tremec 6-speed spins a beefy Driveshaft Shop driveshaft,
which is threaded to a fabricated Strange 9-inch that's finished
with a posi-traction differential and big, 3.90 gears. That pumpkin
pushes a custom 4-link rear-clip, which is finished with trick
RideTech bags. Opposite that clip, custom chromoly tubes thread
fluid power rack-and-pinion steering amid two more RideTech bags.
Stopping is a cinch thanks to 4 and 6-piston Wilwood calipers,
which clamp a quartet of drilled and slotted rotors. Exhaust gets
handled by bright, custom pipes that were installed by, you guessed
it, the pros at Hot Rod Dynamics. And torque melts the pavement
through polished Boze wheels, which spin 235/40ZR18 Nitto NT555 G2s
in front of 305/30ZR20 Nitto NT555 G2s.
TRADITIONAL WITH A DASH OF NEW
Open the car's light doors and you'll find a tastefully customized
interior that's stylish and very livable. There's a quartet of
modern buckets that feature French-stitched leather and awesome
houndstooth inserts. In front of those thrones, a leather-lined
'factory air' dash hangs monochromatic Dakota Digital telemetry
over hardware for Vintage Air conditioning and discreet direct-fit
audio. At the bottom of that dash, a custom, full-length console
centers a booted billet shifter in front of integrated switches for
the car's Nu Relics power windows. The driver spins an attractive
Billet Specialties steering wheel around a tilting column and
billet foot pedals. And reliability is greatly enhanced by American
Autowire wiring.
With its stout twin-turbo drivetrain, this Camaro is a blast to
drive and certainly has no trouble turning heads just sitting
still. The car's fresh looks and virtually limitless performance
honor the late '60s Americana we all know and love. At the same
time, custom flair and modern build prowess make it an amazing
place to log countless weekend miles. Don't miss your chance to own
a standout panther that'll keep people gawking for years to
come!
