also it makes for a nice preview of the factory-correct black
interior. The seats, door panels, dash, and headliner all have that
kind of deep and dark look that lets us believe there was quality
investment in the interior. But this is far from a sea of darkness.
There's plenty of shiny trim on the Chevrolet sports steering wheel
and long dash with long horizontal speedometer. It's even to spot
shining upgrades like the retro-style AM/FM/cassette stereo and
Sunpro auxiliary gauge trio.
A proper SS396 tribute means a 396 cubic-inch big block filling the
engine bay. It looks nice with the bright block, as well as the
bright valve covers and air topper both with 396 callouts. Plus,
your big block power is enhanced with a Holley four-barrel
carburetor, Edelbrock Performer intake, and long tube headers that
feed the newer H-pipe dual exhaust. There are nice supporting
components to make this a nicer driving machine, like the electric
choke and newer brake booster. In fact, this has some nice
all-around driving features, like the three-speed automatic
transmission, power steering, and power brakes w/discs up
front.
