Estimate:
$80,000 - $100,000
- The 20th of 24 examples built; one of only six
convertibles
- Astonishing 1,000 hp with six-speed manual
- Twice the power and torque of a standard Viper
- Faster than a Bugatti Veyron to 200 mph
- Driven only 7,678 miles from new
Well-known performance company Hennessey started modifying Dodge
Vipers in 1993, but it wasn't until 2006 that they introduced the
outrageous Venom 1000 Twin Turbo. This outlandish interpretation of
the Viper offered otherworldly performance. The Venom could sprint
from 0-60 in a mere 2.5 seconds and top out at an insane 255 mph.
The V-10 engine was completely modified with the addition of two
massive turbochargers, and the suspension and brakes were upgraded
to match the tremendous power output.
The front and rear bodywork of the Venom 1000 was modified for
improved aerodynamics, and the aggressive extended nose gave the
Hennessey a distinctive look. Originally priced at $225,000, the
Venom 1000 was a massive leap above the $87,000 base price of the
standard Viper. When Motor Trend tested the Venom when new, the
performance figures were simply astonishing. Most notable, the
Venom bested the Veyron to 200 mph by four seconds.
This Venom 1000 Twin Turbo was reportedly first owned by NFL
football player Mario Williams. It is the 20th of only 24 examples
produced, of which only six were convertibles. The Viper has since
been in the current owner's collection for the last five years.
Finished in menacing Viper Crystal Pearl Grey, it stands out from
the run-of-the-mill Vipers, and its performance remains comparable
to today's ultra-horsepower hypercars. It has been driven less than
7,700 miles since new and has never been tracked by its owner, a
prominent collector based in Georgia.
With unbelievable performance and a six-speed manual transmission,
the Venom 1000 Twin Turbo is a true enthusiast's supercar. Even
after 14 years, it will continue to keep up with anything on the
road. This exceptional Hennessey Venom is in pristine condition and
is a beautiful example of what has become a highly collectable
Viper in a class of its own.To view this car and others currently
