9112301311 was delivered new in the highly desired color of Albert
Blue over Cork leatherette, and optionally equipped from the
factory with a Sunroof, Blaupunkt Frankfurt radio, Michelin tires,
and the "E03 option" group - which denotes Air-Conditioning.
Significant records on file dating from 1974-Present indicate the
Porsche's earliest owner was Dr. Robert Hazelwood of Houston /
Austin, Texas, who had it serviced by Norman Scott Porsche + Audi
of Houston, followed by routine upkeep in Houston, then Austin.
Subsequent accompanying invoices track ownership and substantial
care administered throughout the years. Most notably, the 911S
received major cosmetic and mechanical restorative work between
1999-2002. This included a full R&R of all suspension, braking,
electrical and auxiliary systems, motor, transmission, paint and
upholstery. Overseen by a fastidious caretaker and Seattle area
specialists. The Porsche continues to beautifully display the work
carried out.
9112301311 joined the renowned James G. Hascall Collection in May
2006-2018, when it was acquired by another Floridian Porsche
connoisseur. Finished in its original color of Albert Blue, this
911S now features a black cabin with authentic Recaro leather sport
seats, correct Blaupunkt Frankfurt radio and trim appointments. All
interior/exterior lights, instruments, safety equipment, sunroof
and air conditioning systems are in proper working order. The
engine performs well with consistent compression numbers in the 150
PSI range. The front compartment contains a spare with new Pirelli
CN36 tire, matching the other mounted wheels. An original jack and
tool kit reside up front. The undercarriage is detailed and
presents well. An adjustable sway bar aids performance driving.
Importantly, the 911 retains its matching-numbers engine according
to its Porsche Certificate of Authenticity. The transmission is a
replacement correct type 5-speed. In addition to a dossier of
records and Porsche CoA, the 911S is accompanied by an original
1972 Driver's Manual and folio, multiple sets of original and
correct replacement keys.
A Fall 2019 inspection and scheduled service was recently
performed. As a turn-key ready example and considered one of the
most desirable early 911S specifications, this wonderful 72S makes
for the ideal tour/rally and event car and would fit into any
growing sports car collection.
