Vehicle Description
This 1951 Chevrolet 3100 1/2 Ton Suburban Carryall has been
upgraded with a two-tone look, V8 power, overdrive transmission,
and an all bucket seat interior. And yet it still never loses that
distinctive vintage flair that makes it so attractive.
You already know Chevy's Advanced Design pickups are red hot right
now because of their iconic style. The bright Art Deco grille,
alligator hood, chrome bumpers, two-piece windshield, and rounded
fenders make this instantly recognizable. But while the trucks are
on the classic car scene a little bit, we rarely lay eyes on a
Suburban - especially one as custom as this. The black and magenta
metallic are a quality application with a nice deep shine. And
two-tone is nicely intertwined as the purple not only draws
attention to the classic fenders, but also there's a strip that
encircles the vehicle as it follows a crisp line in the sheetmetal.
And if the paint already didn't set this one apart, it also has
great details like the newer running boards and black chrome Coys
alloys to really announce it's something special.
Inside is a well-done package that nicely mixes plenty of upgrades
with some vintage style. For example, you still have the classic
Chevrolet dash, and now it's painted to match the exterior. There's
even special purple deep pile carpeting. The side panels are done
in a tasteful gray and the seats coordinate. And have you noticed
that not only does everyone gets their own individual bucket seat,
but also it has purple piping to really tie the whole package
together. Plus, there are nice features only for the driver. Your
seat power adjusts; there's a Lokar floor shifter; and the Grant
wood-rimmed steering wheel is on a tilt column. And don't forget
those rear barn door swing wide to makes this great for cargo
carrying or just tailgating.
Under the hood are more great upgrades. This Suburban was built
before Chevy's might small block V8 era, but now this has been
upgraded to a 305 cubic-inch unit. It has been further enhanced
with a four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, and headers. It
fires up nicely, like this one is ready to hit the road. That's why
it also has nice driving features like power steering, power brakes
w/discs up front, and an upgraded independent front suspension.
Plus, the 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission has
highway-friendly overdrive so you can enjoy this Suburban near or
far.
