For Sale at Auction: 2009 Bentley Arnage in Amelia Island, Florida

Vehicle Description

To Be OFFERED AT AUCTION WITHOUT RESERVE at RM Sothebys' Amelia Island event, 6 - 7 March 2020.
Estimate:
$60,000 - $80,000

  • One of only 96 Final Series cars built, representing the end of Arnage production
  • Less than 3,750 miles from new
  • Attractive Royal Ebony over Magnolia color scheme

Having been in production for over a decade, Bentley announced in 2008 that Arnage production would come to an end the following year, making way for its replacement, the Mulsanne. To celebrate the model's role in Bentley's history, a limited run of Arnage T Final Series would be produced. Built for the 2009 model year, these cars would also celebrate Bentley's 90th anniversary and the 50th anniversary of their V-8 engine. The Final Series was fully customizable by their clients and identifiable by Final Series badges inside and out, along with unique 20-inch wheels, dark tinted front grilles, lower front wing vents, and twin exhaust pipes, among other features. Initially, production was planned for 150 cars, but no more than 96 were produced.

This example was earmarked for the United States and finished in the highly attractive color combination of Royal Ebony over a Magnolia interior. It was produced in May 2009, and options included the Naim premium audio system, a massaging driver's seat, reversing camera, wood-and-leather steering wheel, Sirius satellite radio, an iPod interface, and veneered companion mirrors. Shipped to Bentley Northbrook of Northbrook, Illinois, upon completion, according to an accompanying CARFAX report, the Bentley was registered in Florida but spent most of its time in New York. Upon being purchased by its current owner, the Arnage was exported to Switzerland, where it has remained for the last few years.

Today the car is showing less than 3,750 miles from new, and it remains in excellent condition throughout. Among the last of the Arnages built, these Final Series cars remain among the most desirable of their breed. Low-mileage examples are seldom seen, and as such, this Bentley deserves serious consideration. To view this car and others currently consigned to this auction, please visit the RM website at rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/am20.
