Vehicle Description
This 1947 Lincoln Club Coupe is a great place to start when
creating a custom street machine. After all, it has a distinctive
premium look, and this one adds features like a hot V8 and a cool
custom A/C interior.
The immediate post-war Lincolns were some pretty cool cars. After
all you got the face of the premium Continental, and in the case of
this Club Coupe, a seriously sleek rear end. This one is well-done
custom. It takes classic elements like the full-length trim,
well-done taillight package, and Continental's big dual grilles.
But then there are some terrific custom elements added in. For
example, the front bumper is a cleaner design that even has the
body gap filled in, so it's a cleaner and sleeker look. It's a
similar story in the rear where all the ornamentation was removed
from the trunk and the new bumper with filler panel all come
together to really give this unique form a long and sleek
appearance. Plus, you'll love the detail work, like the upgraded
headlights, large dual exhaust tips, the push-button door handles
from previous years were even added back in. The hood ornament even
gives a hint to the power within. And those double-redline tires
look terrific against a full red coupe like this.
Inside is more of the full custom treatment. The front seats are
borrowed from a modern BMW for a serious upgrade in comfort and
bolstering. There are plenty of nice modern features, like power
windows, a cup holder console, and R134a air conditioning. Plus,
they really upgraded this one with the driver in mind. You have a
flame-kissed wood-rimmed steering wheel on a polished Ididit tilt
column. And the cool symmetrical Lincoln dash now has crisp Dolphin
gauges to keep you fully informed about what's going on under the
hood.
The engine bay has been upgraded to be a true modern street
machine. While Lincolns had V12, they were only 305s. So the 350
cubic-inch small block is already a nice increase in displacement.
Plus, this has the right performance upgrades, like an Edelbrock
four-barrel carburetor, Holley intake, and headers. You even have
the right supporting components, like an HEI distributor and an
aluminum radiator w/electric fan. It's a strong-running motor that
makes a sweet sound out of the dual exhaust. And because this is
such a unique coupe, you'll be glad they gave you great driving
feature to make it easy to show off. It includes a three-speed
automatic transmission, upgraded front suspension, power steering,
power brakes w/discs up front, and sway bars front & rear.
The sale comes complete with build receipts, maintenance records,
and title documentation. There are few of these Lincolns left and
few look this cool. So don't miss out, call today!
