It was the last year for the El Camino. Yeah, the 80's. the years
of the Grand National and the Monte Carlo SS. Well the El Camino
lovers got to have their cake and eat it too! The 1983-87 El Camino
SS was offered as a conversion (completed by Choo-Choo Customs
Inc., of Chattanooga, Tennessee) to include the aerodynamic front
end similar to the Monte Carlo SS, but did not receive the L69
engine package. However, that wasn't acceptable for the previous
owner of this El Camino as it now has a fresh 350 crate motor.
Sounds as good as it looks with a nice pair of ceramic coated long
tube headers. All of that rounded out with a Holley carb. Don't
fret though, it starts with ease thanks to the electric choke.
Interior has been well maintained throughout the years and shows
very minimal wear. A/C is fully working and operable and will keep
you cool in the summertime and heat works just as good for the
winter. So maybe you've hit midlife and you're about to go through
a crisis, or you just want a throwback vehicle to take you back to
the glory years, either way, nothing says "I need a mullet" more
than this car and you totally should make it yours! We'll trade and
handle financing, ask us how!
