Vehicle Description
You're looking at a 1929 Model A 6 wheel rumble seat roadster that
was restored 50 years ago and has been enthusiastically enjoyed
since. It has the 201 cubic inch L head 4 cylinder engine and 3
speed manual transmission. This car has always been in indoor
storage so it has remained in solid rust free condition. All glass
is excellent rubber moldings are in very good condition. The top is
like new...flexible...no tears and clear glass back window. There
is a full set of side curtains that go with the car. Mechanically
this car is in excellent shape. It runs and drives the way it is
supposed to. All 6 tires are in excellent shape (2 new tubes will
go with the car). Chrome is all in good shape with no pitting.
There is small amount of peeling on one of the front headlights.
The front bottom seat cushion is out being recovered (darn mice).
The rest of the seats are in very good condition. Even though the
paint has 50 years of patina the car still looks great from 10
feet. Typical lacquer feathering is showing on the rumble seat lid
and the paint around the gas cap is showing the affects of 50 years
of fill ups when a few drops of gas inexplicably find their way out
of the nozzle and onto the painted cowl. The usual chips along the
hood hinge are also present. ..but after 50 years I didn't look as
good as I did when I was 20 either. This is an all steel car...no
fiberglass...no bondo...can't even find any patches in the floor.
This is Ted's personal Model A and has been in his family for 45
years. There are no issues with the engine...no smoking or
knocking...the detailer said "she purrs like a kitten". Give Ted a
call and he'll be happy to answer any of your questions. Ohio
