Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this 1977 Pontiac Trans AM which is in great overall condition and priced to sell and comes with only 60,944 Actual Miles. The original Pontiac 400 engine remains in the car and the vin on the engine block is numbers matching as well as the automatic transmission being numbers matching. This Trans Am features a nice repaint in factory Sterling Silver with replacement decals, an original stock vinyl interior, the original Pontiac 400 engine and automatic transmission, and low actual miles. This Trans Am is overall very solid with great lines and gaps. The underside is extremely solid with no rust or corrosion issues and no patches or repairs and still shows plenty of original red factory primer. This Trans AM is finished in the desirable color combinations of Sterling Silver(code 13) over Red (code 71R) vinyl interior. This is the factory color scheme as verified on the trim tag pictured above and the included PHS documents.
Exterior
The Sterling Silver exterior is in nice restored condition. This Trans Am was treated to a repaint about 5 years ago in factory Sterling Silver with replacement decals. The paint is in good overall condition and the body is overall solid and both bumpers are in great shape with no flaking or faded paint. A new nose emblem was added along with new sail panel birds. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but nothing was intentionally excluded from the photos. The underside of this TA is wonderful and very solid with no rust issues or past repairs and original factory red primer is still visible. The tires have nearly full tread left and are sized 225/70/15 and the wheels are restored original OEM snowflake wheels with new center caps and lug nuts. All weather stripping and window sweeps are in great condition and appear newer. Trunk is very solid and clean with the original style trunk mat and space saver spare tire. The underside of this Formula is exceptionally solid with no rust issues or concerns and no patches or repairs.
Interior
The Red vinyl interior of this TA is in terrific stock condition. The seat covers are in great condition with no major wear or fading or seam splits. The carpet is in good overall condition with no major stains, rips, or holes, but there is some wear in the driver foot well area. The original dash is in good overall condition and the dash bezel is correct and looks beautiful in the car. The original style stereo works great and sounds good and thankfully the dash has not been cut for a modern stereo. The original 8 track player is still mounted in the factory position. The original door panels are in great condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner and package tray are both in great condition. The headliner is the correct perforated material and is not sagging at all. All interior and exterior lights and gauges work as they should outside of the cigarette lighter and the clock is not working. The horn, all gauges, stereo, wipers, and blower motor all work. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever. The factory ac is all there and currently seems to be blowing cold air but it is winter and difficult to test.
Mechanical
This TA is in great mechanical condition and the original Pontiac 400 engine is still in the car with matching vin number, see photo. This engine runs very well and car performs nicely. An original style exhaust remains under the Formula and gives this car a true muscle car sound at idle and cruising speeds. It was recently replaced and looks new. A new emergency brake was just installed. The transmission pan gasket and filter were recently replaced. A few fuel lines were just replaced as was the power steering pump line. We have driven this car numerous times and it always performs well, it does not run hot, it rides tight, and is always a joy to drive. In the video one can observe this car running and driving with no excessive rattles or noises, and the car handles and performs well. This TA is a nice driver that feels good on the road and at highway speeds. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It starts right away every time, idles well, and runs good. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos.
