For Sale: 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air in Concord, North Carolina

Vehicle Description

When you're really into vintage racing, you instantly understand the appeal of this car. After all, this mixes the iconic 1957 Chevrolet body with the classic dirt track racer style. So if you're looking for an invite to vintage events, this is one is going to open just about every door.

The '57 Chevy was an icon in chrome, but this is a whole different animal. The brightwork on the bumpers, headlight surrounds, and grille have been eliminated - because a real racecar means business. In fact, this is believed to be the track car for "Little Bud" Moore who went on to have a career in NASCAR in the 1960s and 70s. Cut fenders, sponsor decals, hood pins, and wide dirt track wheels are all part of this real-deal racer made from one of the coolest classics around.

Inside, you won't find any tuck-n-roll leather. Instead, this is a race-oriented machine with a full custom roll cage dominating the interior of this Chevy. You get the classic old-school racing seat with extra padding and a headrest mounted into the roll cage. Your only passenger is the spare wheel! Keen eyes will notice that the padded steering wheel is a version of the classic Bel Air unit, and the dash is dominated by Stewart Warner gauges. So this really does have the vintage racer feel.

It's pure authentic racer under the hood, too. The 350 cubic-inch V8 isn't hampered by many modern accessories, so it's ready for pure competition. It inhales deeply with a four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with authority as headers run unrestricted right to the side pipes. If you're a racer, you'll love the look of everything from the frame bracing in the engine bay, to the classic Mickey Thompson valve covers w/custom quick fill oil setup. The three-speed manual transmission has the terrific old-school feel, and the more modern Frankland quick change rear end was built for dirt track racing.

This is the most distinct way to celebrate the iconic '57 Chevy, and it even has some hints at a cool pedigree. So whether you want to be the most interesting vintage car on the track or just love a true classic racer, you know you need to collect this piece of history. Call now!
