The Chevrolet Corvette (C3) was a sports car that was produced by
Chevrolet for the 1968 through 1982 model years. The 1981 Chevrolet
Corvette like we have here at Skyway Classics was the fastest
American made car in 1981 with 0-60 at 8.1.
Mechanical
This 1981 Two-Tone Silver/Blue Corvette we have at Skyway Classics
was built at the Bowling Green, Ky Plant and has the 350 cubic inch
engine that produces 190 horsepower and was designated the L81.
This L81 engine is a V-8, 90-degree Overhead valve, Cast iron block

the compression ratio of 8.2:1, torque of 280 lb-ft @ 1600 rpm, and

Our 1981 Corvette has a host of features including, Chrome air
cleaner lid, cast magnesium valve covers, stainless steel exhaust
manifolds, computer control system, auxiliary electric engine
cooling fan, and fiberglass rear leaf spring.
Interior
The plush grey twin bucket seat interior compliments all the power
functions on board with performance style gauges, audio system,
thick carpet, center console, and rear storage area.
It looks just like it did back in 1981 and is in great shape and
even comes with the original Owners Manual.
Exterior
1981 was the first year Corvettes were ever produced in two
factories at one time. The new Bowling Green, Kentucky plant
produced its first Corvette on June 1, 1981 while the St. Louis
plant was producing its last Corvettes.
Conclusion
This 1981 Corvette we have at Skyway Classics is a beauty. The

not many Corvettes ever painted in this color scheme. Come check it
