Vehicle Description
This 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle may have been born a real-deal Super
Sport, but today it's so much more. The slick modern paint hides a
480hp LS3 V8 and five-speed stick underneath. So dig into the
details on a fresh, stunning, and absolutely powerful restomod
build.
The paint is the first thing that will really make you take extra
notice of this hardtop. At first glance it may look like an
ultra-slick black, but soon you'll really see it's a dark charcoal
modern finish with plenty of clearcoat. And when the sunshine hits
the metallic element, there's a hint of brightness. So the total
impression looks like the midnight sky full of stars. And while the
paint commands attention, they made sure the rest of the car lives
up to this high standard with mirror-like bumpers, crisp body
panels, and doors that close with authority. This is a real-deal
Super Sport, and so it has all the right elements, like the
blacked-out grille, faux hood vents, ribbed rocker panels, and
proper SS badging all-around. But those large 17-inch alloys, LED
halo headlights, and LS3 badging offers a few nice hints at the big
modern upgrades beneath the skin.
Inside, they invested nicely inside to make sure it is fresh, dark,
and ready to show off. You get plenty of great vintage details,
like the center console and dual-spoke sports steering wheel. This
one has been upgraded subtly for some extra comfort, like the extra
padding in the bucket seats, a tilt steering column, and the
retro-style AM/FM digital tuner. And just like the exterior, you
get a few hints at the upgrade under the hood with the Dakota
Digital gauge package and have you counted the gears on the stick
shift pattern yet?
The callouts on the fenders were not lying. This one really is
powered by a modern LS3 motor. The 6.2-liter fuel-injected V8 is
rated at 480 horsepower. It's truly one of the most potent
powerplants from Chevrolet, and because there's less than 1,500
miles on this build, this major upgrade retains a fresh show-ready
appearance. More than just look great, they made sure to install
this correctly, including the right supporting components, like a
serpentine belt system, braided hoses, and an Afco aluminum
radiator with electric fan. It inhales deeply with a Spectre air
element and exhales with authority as Hooker headers feed the dual
exhaust. And control of this high-performance V8 and its thunderous
soundtrack is firmly in your command thanks to the Tremec TKO
five-speed manual transmission. This feeds the 12-bolt rear end
with quick action 4.10 gears. Plus, you have power steering, sway
bars front & rear, power brakes w/discs up front, and grippy modern
ZR-rated tires.
The sale comes complete with build receipts and maintenance
records. This is a fresh builD with sleek looks, great quality, and
a ton of power. So you know you don't want this Chevelle SS
restomod to end up in someone else's garage. Call today!!!
