Vehicle Description
This 1972 AMC Javelin SST is a beautifully restored car. The last
owner has owned the car since the late 90's and he is the one who
had it restored. He is an AMC Nut/Guru and he had it restored as
close to exact specifications as he could because he knew he would
have the car judged at some point. 2-3 years ago he did have the
car judged (see pic of judging sheet) and it scored 193 out of 203
which is pretty darn good! They also showed this car on a regular
basis and wow many many awards and trophies. Based on the recent
judging and the amount of awards it has one, it is definitely car
show worthy. They actually drove this car to many of the shows they
attended. The body on this Javelin is extremely clean and extremely
nice. It is super straight and solid and the paint is gorgeous.
When restored it was repainted in its original color of
Butterscotch Gold. The Split Vinyl Roof and Rear Spoiler came with
the car, but the last owner added the Cowl Induction Hood and side
pipes which gave it a great look. The underside of the car is also
excellent and you can tell this was never a rusty car. When the
interior was restored he added a Rally Dash which is really cool.
The interior scored perfect at the judging and it is crisp and
clean!! Everything on this car is working except the tachometer
which is working intermittently for some reason. The interior looks
like new and includes the console and horseshoe shifter!!!
The engine is a 360 V8 and it was rebuilt when restored by the
previous owner. This car originally came with a 304 V8. The rebuild
was done a respected AMC Engine Builder. The car runs amazing with
the Edelbrock 4 Barrel Carb giving it the juice it needs to go
fast. The transmission is the 727 Automatic and it shifts great. It
has the AMC Model 20 Rear End. This car runs and drives really
really nice and can be driven to shows and win you some awards!! We
drive what we sell so that we can give you a first hand and
accurate report on how the vehicle runs and drives. Our pictures
are never touched up or photoshopped. What you see is an accurate

you everything so you can get a true representation of the
