Vehicle Description
STK 2716 1967 Volkswagen Microbus Deluxe Wagon
If you revel in the unique, this 1967 Volkswagen Microbus may be
your ticket. Volkswagen produced the first generation of the Type 2
Bus from 1950 until 1967. It was a forerunner to the modern cargo
and passenger vans that covered our landscape in the 80s and 90s.
Our genuine 13-window Deluxe Microbus just may be one of the nicest
VW buses on the planet. It underwent a complete restoration (2014)
by a specialist in Denver, CO. The exterior was professionally
finished in two-tone Titan Red and Cream. It features the iconic
split front windshield, new roof rack and six pop-out side windows.
All exterior/interior chrome/stainless has been restored or
replaced. The interior was professionally redone to factory
condition including new headliner, carpeting, door panels and
upholstery. All window and door seals were replaced. Power is
provided by a big-bore 1914cc air-cooled VW boxer 4-cylinder that
was professionally built. It is equipped with 94mm bore cylinders,
69mm rods, Empi dual intakes, dual 40mm carburetors and custom dual
exhaust. It starts and runs beautifully. The motor is backed by a
factory 4-speed manual gearbox. A rock-solid chassis sports 4-wheel
drum brakes (all new German components), all new suspension
components including 22mm Empi sway bars/Sachs shocks, new
deep-dish steel wheels w/VW center caps and radial tires. The
original focus of the VW Microbus was on function, but today it is
a timeless piece of moving art. This rare 1967 Microbus is waiting
for its next owner - be that you? ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
