Vehicle Description
1986 PORSCHE 911 CARRERA TARGAThe (Impact)ful 911. Produced during
a much more simpler time when the hand-assembly of the 911 was the
norm with relatively small production numbers, a pure and
unadulterated driving experience was a rule, and gas was $0.89 a
gallon! The year was 1986 when this 1 of 1,916 U.S designated 3.2
Targas was originally offered for sale by Porsche of Reno, where it
patiently waited for its future owner to sit in the driver's seat,
smile, take in the signature cabin smell, smile some more, depress
the clutch pedal, turn the key, smile harder, followed by the
sensational drama emitting from the 3.2-liter air-cooled flat-6
engine; which at that point probably resorted to laugher, as good
times and grand adventures were imminent! Impact-bumper era 911s
are applauded for their unwavering durability! This example
displays a clean CarFax Report and also benefits from a complete
servicing completed by RFMC's in-house Porsche tech with 30 years
of expertise! Fast forward to today (though gas is no longer $0.89
a gallon), the pure and unadulterated driving experience still
remains as originally offered by this divine 1986 Porsche 911
Carrera Targa, displaying an enthusiastically driven 92,XXX miles!
It's exterior is finished in the arresting and traditional Guards
Red, teamed with its notable folding Targa top that can be stored
in the compartment of the front trunk (very period-correct),
distinguishing Black roll-bar, notable convex rear-window,
characteristic flair from its Black impact bumpers, and 16 - Inch,
5-spoke Fuchs Wheels in Black, with non-painted center cap Porsche
Crests; is just a remarkable and stunning specimen of what was and
still ultimately is: an absolute iconic from a period where
motoring was meaningful and unfiltered! When entering the cabin,
you're greeted by a partial-leather interior in Black, front bucket
Comfort seats (the front seats are further enhanced by piping,
stitching and perforations, with driver's power-adjustment
settings), single-zone climate control, a 4-spoke leather-wrapped
sport steering wheel, and a Sony XR-4400 audio interface. For
