Mercedes in Las Vegas, NV in 1979 according to the original owner's
documents with the car and has been garage kept ever since. It has
been consigned by the daughter of the second owner whom bought it
with 28k miles on it and brought it to his home in southern
California according to his hand written notes found with the
owners manuals. It is clearly evident that this car received
fanatical care by its two owners.
The SL shows almost no wear, it looks, feels, and sounds like a two
year old car. The seats are spotless, the AC/heat controls and gear
selector are perfect with no dirt or wear. The SL is equipped with
the original Becker Mexico stereo cassette sound system, the
original alloy wheels with the stock finish, the original paint
which is in very good condition, the original spare (with a updated
tire) and tools. The overwhelming impression the car makes is how
clean and original the it is, from the interior, the trunk, to the
engine compartment. Both the hard top and the black soft top are
also in like new condition.
The 450 SL drives as well as it looks. The engine starts easily and
runs smoothly, the road manners are excellent comfortable
acceleration, direct refined steering and confidence inspiring
straight braking. The air conditioning, heat, defroster system
works perfectly and the AC system refrigerant has been updated and
the car has been smog certified.
