A dream car for the Porsche collector or enthusiast...Performs wonderfully!
This impeccably maintained 1983 Porsche 911SC Targa is finished in Slate Blue Metallic exterior paint and Dark Blue Leather interior...in my opinion, the best combination Porsche ever produced. This 911SC is an excellent example of what Porsche is all about. It is the last year of the bullet proof 3.0 engine. The paint is beautiful and in excellent condition and there are no stains, fading, or tears on the interior. This 911SC was completed by the factory in December, 1982 and was subsequently purchased from Moffitt Porsche/Audi on March 30th, 1983 in Shreveport, LA. In Feb 1997 it was purchased by its second owner and had accumulated only 53,919 miles at owner transfer. In 2006 this Porsche had acquired a total of 57,319 miles and was acquired by a dealer who meticulously maintained and only occasionally drove (approximately 613 miles) the 911SC for 3 years. I purchased the Porsche in July, 2009 with a total of 57,932 miles. It now has 60,379 total miles. This vehicle has been meticulously maintained and covered for the last 10 years in a climate controlled garage. It is definitely in show ready "EXCELLENT" condition. It has a clean CarFax...no wrecks or accidents. The engine is clean and has no leaks. The timing chain tensioners and the air box pop-off valve have both been updated and there are no outstanding recall items. The car runs and performs just like a Porsche Super Carrera should, very tight and no drifts on acceleration. The gear box is tight and all synchros are in good condition. The Targa top is in excellent condition with new seals. The undercarriage is excellent also with anodizing still on the trailing arms and no rust anywhere on the vehicle. The rims have polished lips with new radials and all are in great condition. All instrumentation, air conditioner, power windows, door locks, factory radio, and power antenna work as new. Believe me; you will be thrilled with the condition and the performance of this 911SC!
This 911SC is accompanied by its original books, tool kit, tire pump, battery tender, Porsche 911 Car Cover, Porsche 911SC Service Manual, and Porsche 911SC Companion Manual. The value of 911SC models (only made from 1978 to 1983) is increasing on a daily basis. And, this 1983 Porsche 911SC Targa would be a welcome addition to the most astute collector, investor, or enthusiast who appreciates originality, condition, and performance.
