1947 Ford F1 Pickup Hot Rod
Why This Car Is Special
The 1947 Ford pickups like the Hot Rod version we have here at
Skyway Classics, are highly sought after as pre-war nostalgia
street rods. This one has many upgrades that have given this truck
a new stance, aggressive power, and great ride.
Mechanical
The 1947 F1 we have is powered by the tried & true 327 cubic inch
small block Chevy engine and backed by a 3-speed automatic Turbo
350 transmission. It has performance upgrades including polished
valve covers and air cleaner, an Edelbrock carburetor and Performer
RPM intake, straight-pipe headers, and it even has air conditioning
too.
Look some more in the engine compartment and you will see the
higher capacity performance radiator, performance ignition and
spark plug wires, and much more let alone it all sits in a custom
frame with coil-over shocks, A-arm front suspension, and a complete
Corvette rear assembly.
Interior
The inside is comfortable and ready for the road with its soft
cloth type bench seat, custom dash housing AutoMeter and Bosch
custom performance gauges, a black spoked tilt steering wheel,
floor shifter, and air conditioning.
If you look into the bed of the truck, you will see a spectacular
wood finished cargo area.
Exterior
This Ford has a perfect stance with its forward rake, great body
that was lowered, custom matte grey and polished mag wheels with
black wall tires, and chrome front grille.
When you combine all that you get a sinister look that is always
the center of attention at the car and truck shows. It looks just
like it should as a real hot rod and street rod truck that was
built by all the servicemen who came home from the war and started
the Hot Rod era.
