Here at MAXmotive of Boca Raton we are pleased to present this
Tribute to the 427 Biscayne's that came from Motion
Performance/Baldwin Chevrolet on Long Island in 1968. Powered by a
rebuilt L34 396 C.I. V8 engine, alloy midrise intake, Holley 750cfm
model 3310, 4 row aluminum radiator, shroud, flex fan. HEI
distributor, ceramic coated 2 inch primary, 3 1/2-inch collector,
long tube Hooker Competition headers, full dual 2.5-inch exhaust
with balance pipe and Flowmaster 40 series mufflers. 3/8 inch fuel
line tank to carburetor. This Beast is mated to a rebuilt Turbo
Hydro 400 transmission and converter, shift kit, Art Carr/Winters
shifter. New drive shaft; balanced with new u-joints. Rebuilt 12
bolt rear with Richmond 3.73 gear (3.08 highway gear and carrier
included) positraction, heavy duty axles, 11" drum brakes and
Corvette 2-piston front disc front brakes, power steering and 4 new
tires. The exterior has been refinished with PPG single stage
urethane in Ermine White. The beautiful Interior was restored
really well using correct '68 Biscayne material and looks clean and
correct. The floor and trunk are solid with no patches.This is a
radio delete car. It sports a period correct AutoMeter 8K American
made tachometer. Triple gauge panel. All glass is original except
for the windshield, which is a new PPG blue shade band. New trunk
mat, spare tire and factory bumper jack. rear bumper has been
re-chromed and all of the engine bay compartment sheet metal has
been powder coated in satin black. Car is an absolute dream to
drive, plenty of torque, runs at thermostat temperature and stops
well. Lots of attention. 1968 Chevrolet Biscayne big block
supercar!
