38 years ago the current owner was wanting to find the right, fairly new, low mileage XKE and accidentally ran into a lady in town that had one! It was April 27th 1981. 24476 miles and less then 10 yrs old. How lucky is that? Represented as original mileage in 1981 and current owner says still original mileage.
He has had all kinds of high line exotic cars over the years but has always had the special XKE tucked away for special times. Now it’s time to share it with someone else.
Most of the maintenance since 1981 was performed by a local shop (Layland Motors) where they have since 1976 perform service, repairs, and rotisserie restorations on XKE’s and other special vehicles.
