This handsome Packard has benefited from an older restoration that
is still holding up nicely. It starts runs, and stops well and may
be a bit of a surprise to those who think a car from the 1930's is
cumbersome to drive. The steering is light even at lower speeds.
The three speed floor shifted manual transmission has synchromesh
on the top two gears and is as easy to shift as any modern manual.
Hydraulic brakes add to the confidence of piloting this fine old
car. Certainly, even the best cars (and this is one) of this era
have limitations relative to today's vehicles. However, that a
driver stepping out of a modern car doesn't really feel out of
place driving this Packard is a testament that it was indeed one of
the finer automobiles of its day. This 115C Touring Sedan is
powered by a smooth 237 cubic inch flathead six. The engine looks
to be in good order and while it's no drag racer, it is very
adequate for propelling the Packard on leisurely drives in town or
country. The interior is in fine shape overall with only minor
things needing attention such as some wind lace has pulled loose in
a place or two and needs reattaching. The seat upholstery is in
very good condition without any rips or tears and the carpets are
very good as well. All of the chrome work is in great shape and
provides a wonderful bright contrast to the dark blue paint which
itself is still in good shape. Lastly but by no means the least
thing worth mentioning is the styling itself. Talk about cool
factor, this car has it in spades. The teardrop headlight and
taillight pods, the distinctive V shaped grill, the door handles,
the bumper guards, and more combine for a stunning look and a
reminder of an age when quality and style in a motor car said you
had arrived. For more information or to arrange an inspection and
