Shelby Daytona Coupe
Factory Five Racing
Generation II Build
1965
This car represents the finest of design, engineering and equipment, and represents an era of unparalleled human accomplishments. This car is one of the most unique and stunning shapes in automotive history. Even today, more than 50 years later, the flowing classic lines have no equal.
This 2,300 lb. Daytona Coupe can be labeled as a one-of-a-kind piece of art and would fit right in with even the most discerning automobile collector.
There were only six original Coupes ever produced. Those cars captured the 1965 FIA World Championship for America in the last years before mega-money took American road racing from its roots and from the average guy. Even though the design never entered production, those six cars, each hand-built upon a 289 AC Cobra chassis, are
some of the most valuable collector cars on the planet. Each of the original six Daytona Coupes is valued at more than $8 million.
Body and Finish
The coachwork on this car is masterfully finished by Jeff Miller, Miller Customs from Temecula, California. The finish is spectacular. The paint selected is an Italian, Antares Gray, or Lamborghini Grigio Antares Gray and with the carbon fiber stripes, it is just beautiful and stands out in any situation.

Comments
Notice the Custom, EPAS Electric Power Steering System (pictured lower center in the driver side engine photo), very clean installation, no pumps, belts, reservoir or hoses. Power assist can be adjusted from the cockpit…just a beautiful feature when driving this car…Great Feel
The custom three piece fiberglass dash with the suede finish sets off the interior…a very professional touch. FFR Vintage Gauges are located higher for excellent visibility through the steering wheel.
The feel of mechanical throttle linkage is unmatched.
The body lines and contours on this car are timeless.
The subtle Carbon Fiber stripes with the Lamborghini Gray just set off this car.
Aston Lemans style gas cap…
Problem Solved…sometimes when removing the spinner from the threaded hub of these vintage wheels, the hub breaks loose from the wheel and rotates with the spinner making it very difficult to remove.
Special collars were made that pin to the threaded hub. These collars have three set screws that are then tightened to the wheel making a solid installation of the threaded hub.
