North America and Europe. The car was designed to appeal to the
family as a 2nd car that allowed quick trips to the store or train
station when the whole family wasn't being part of the trip. Room
for two very comfortably and in a pinch the back seat could
accommodate a couple of small children or additional luggage or
cargo.
Offered here is a nicely restored Metropolitan 1500 series IV that
represents the best year of the vehicle not only in sales (20k+)
but also in performance and standard features. Fully restored in
2017 by well-known Metropolitan Restoration Service out of
Hartleton PA. Car comes with over $10k in receipts and some extra
hardware. Vehicle represents itself very nicely with new paint,
rebuilt carburetor, new fuel pump, sealed gas tank, new wiring
harness, new shocks, brakes, hydraulic lines, fuel lines, turn
signal housings, and all new hardware and fixtures. The drivetrain
was completely reconditioned along with rebuilt engine and fully
detailed to perfection. All new interior was restored to mimic the
car when it was new with all new seat covers, new door panels, new
rubber mat with insulation, headliner, sun visors, and dash.
This car starts up with ease and the car hustles thru the 3 on the
tree with simplicity along with all lights working, including turn
signals and brake lights as well as low and hi beam features. Horn
sounds great along with the looks of the rear mounted spare tire
and fit and finish that would impress many. The car has won three
different shows this past summer according to previous owner in the
category of; Best in Show - Most Unique - Best Engine Bay...this is
the car to have to get noticed and stand out from the other cars at
any car show or event. The white wall tires and heater were the
only option from the factory and this has both.
