Vehicle Description
This 1955 Chevrolet 3100 is the restored custom pickup with
everything you want. It has a sleek exterior, comfy/custom A/C
interior, and dual-quad big block muscle under the hood. So you can
check out all the details, but you already know this all-red
machine gets it all right.
Just one look and you can see a lot of work has gone into restoring
this pickup. The color is Guards Red, which was borrowed from
Porsche. So that sets the tone right for the sporty truck. Plus,
the painted bumpers, expertly deleted trim, and lowered stance give
it added sleekness for a modern performance look. This one still
has room from brightwork, but now it just upgrades the attitude in
places like the eyelids over the headlights and the iconic Cragar
SS wheels. Even the real wood in the truck bed likes to grab
attention with all that gloss.
Inside the sea of red continues. You can tell this is a thoughtful
build just by the seat. It has a great custom pattern that's
finished in a supple leather. And there's even a fold-down armrest
for individual comfort. The carpeting, dash, and custom door panels
all coordinate for a quality uniform look. This has all the
features you want, like power windows, a Kenwood AM/FM/CD stereo
w/aux input, and cold-blowing air conditioning. The Grant GT wood
and chrome steering wheel is mounted on an Ididit tilt steering
column. And beyond that you have a full gauge package upgrade,
including an AutoMeter Sport-Comp tach w/shift light.
You may have seen the subtle Superman badging on the interior and
exterior, and it's what's under the hood that earns it. Those
smooth red inner fenders and firewall funnel all your attention to
the superhero in the middle. This is a 396 cubic-inch V8. The
consignor states it has been bored to 410ci total, and it has a
Lunati Streetmaster cam .550/.550. The Edelbrock Tunnel Ram intake
makes room for dual Edelbrock 500 CFM four-barrel carburetors on
top. And the Hedman long tube headers add power with contributing
to the thunder of the dual exhaust. More than just serious power,
you also have all the right supporting components. This includes
MSD billet distributor, Taylor plug wires, Tuff Stuff water pump,
and a large custom aluminum radiator. As you look underneath the
car, you'll not only spot a color-matched undercarriage, but you'll
also see upgrades like a Camaro front end and Positraction rear.
Plus, with the three-speed automatic transmission, power steering,
and power brakes w/discs up front, it's easy to enjoy this beastly
Chevy near or far.
This custom build nicely balances comfort and performance. So if
