Restomods are a great way to blend the best characteristics of
classic and modern cars. This 1965 Malibu SS convertible is one of
the most stunningly well done restomods we've had here at Ideal.
Under the hood is the venerable Chevy small block V8 stroked to
383C.I. with ATI electronic ignition and breathing through Hedman
headers and a custom Flowmaster exhaust. The transmission has been
upgraded to the more efficient and modern 4-speed 700R4 automatic,
connected to a strong and reliable Ford 9" rear end. The suspension
consists of Viking Performance coilovers, Hotchkis sway bars and
trailing arms, and upgraded 4-link rear suspension. The brakes have
been upgraded to CPP 4-wheel disc brakes with drilled and slotted
rotors for ultimate stopping power. The exterior is finished in
deep Performance Blue metallic accented by the beautiful dark
heather gray cloth top and matching boot, as well as stunning
chromework and eye-catching Foose 5-spoke wheels wrapped in
BFGoodrich G-Force rubber. The interior is a masterpiece, covered
in smooth black leather with custom front bucket seats, rear bench,
door panels, and center console that houses the special B&M
Magnum Grip Street Bandit shifter. The dash now houses modern
Dakota Digital VHX gauges and a premium AM/FM/CD Alpine stereo is
installed in the top of the center console. The interior is kept
cool with a Vintage Air climate control system that is sure to keep
you comfortable no matter what the weather is like outside. This
excellent restomod is ready to hit the road with it's new owner!
