Vehicle Description
This show truck has 180 miles since its no-expense-spared
rotisserie restoration. It is a combination of a First Series 1955
Chevy pickup and a modern Corvette. Thousands of hours were spent
on its restoration. The undercarriage is highly detailed. It has
Air Ride Technologies adjustable shocks for ride height, and the
frame was custom-built and powder-coated silver with Corvette
independent suspension in the front and rear. Corvette power disc
brakes are at all four corners, and the 7-inch Oasis booster and
Corvette master cylinder have been placed under the dash to keep
engine compartment clean. The entire body is steel, except the rear
fenders. Many modifications were made to the body, such as a 3-inch
chopped top, pancaked hood, shaved drip moldings and door handles,
suicide doors, electric tonneau cover, smoothed bed, exhaust
cutouts in the running boards, and custom taillights and brake
lights. The custom Blue Metallic Pearl paint is complemented by a
custom gray leather interior with electric bucket seats. The dash,
seats, door panels, console and overhead console have all been
custom-made. Some interior upgrades include Haneline gauges, Lokar
pedals, Blazer power seats, polished Ididit tilt steering column
and steering wheel, power windows, remote door and window openers,
remote tonneau cover, air conditioning and a sound system with
molded door speakers. The engine compartment is highly detailed
with a smoothed firewall and inner fenders that have been painted
the same color as the exterior. The 350ci V8 Corvette LT1 engine
has been rebuilt with high-end internal parts, a custom engine
cover and intake system that have also been painted the same color
as the truck, and an aluminum radiator. The engine is coupled with
a 4L60 4-speed automatic transmission that transfers power through
the rebuilt Corvette rear end to the 18-inch front and 20-inch rear
Coys polished wheels.
