Vehicle Description
The Mastermind 1955 Chevy, built by John Bradley of Patrick's
Classy Cars, explores contemporary modification techniques, while
retaining the flavor of the classic style. European leather and
colors dress the custom interior. Four bucket seats with console
provide support and comfort. The billet D-shaped steering wheel is
atop a chrome tilt column and complements the interior. The custom
LED-lit headliner is a "can't miss." Mercedes wool carpet is used
inside, as well as in the fully upholstered trunk. Door panels
feature brushed stainless inserts, trigger-style releases, power
windows and LED lighting. Power is provided by a 6.0-liter V8
engine with a T56 TREMEC 6-speed manual transmission. A polished
aluminum driveshaft turns a 3.90 Truetrac 9-inch Ford rear end. It
features ceramic-coated exhaust with Art Morrison headers. The
chassis was custom-built using Art Morrison components with all
chrome or polished stainless-steel fasteners. Power rack & pinion
steering is mounted to polished control arms. Strange Engineering
coilovers, big 13-inch Wilwood brakes and performance sway bars are
incorporated front and rear. Schott custom-built 18- and 20-inch
wheels with BFGoodrich rubber provide the stance. It features air
conditioning through the factory dash vents and controls, power
locks, power gas door, power trunk latch, modern wiper system,
smoked glass, backlit custom upgraded Bel Air scripting, sill
plates and custom stainless trim throughout. Body modifications
include smoothed hood and decklid, shaved door locks, smooth front
and rear bumpers, smooth cowl vent, smoothed firewall and
custom-built inner fenders.
