This is a beautifully restored 1960 Porsche 356 Roadster that is a
stunning example in all respects. This car is ready for concours
competition or touring and comes complete with its Porsche
Certificate of Authenticity (COA). It's believed to have one prior
California owner since new, it was restored with all of its
matching numbers components and to the specifications of the COA
(expect the tires and use of Blue leather rather than Blue
leatherette). Engine, transmission, and engine lid numbers all
matching. We love the Silver Metallic paint complemented with the
blue leather interior and blue top boot cover. The interior is
upgraded with the period correct wood rimmed steering wheel, which
feels great in your hands. The convertible top is black and has
only been used once, when it was tested after its installation. The
hubcaps are from an S model, sporting the Porsche crest. The
original moon caps are available with the purchase of the car. The
production date for the Roadster was June 11, 1959 and it
purportedly enjoyed one prior California owner since new. Photos
confirm that it was an accident-free and relatively low mileage
car. Being a solid original car to start with, the restoration was
commenced using all of the original components, accessories and
sheet metal. This is not a car that is loaded with reproduction
pieces and bits. The present and second owner of the car bought it
from well-known Porsche Hunter and dealer Alex Manos in 2012. Alex
acquired the car from the original owner who lived in California.
The current owner has restored a number of vintage Porsches,
including 12 other 356's, and has been an enthusiast his entire
adult life. He used all the best resources for the restoration,
including: Dink Farmer for the metal work and body preparation,
Distributor Rescue, Carburetor Rescue, Palo Alto Speedo, Arizona
Transaxle, Nels Dutton for the suspension, Zims Auto Technique,
Scott Johnson interiors. The engine and transmission are both
numbers matching originals and all five wheels are date coded
correct for the car. Even the brake drums are original! The
Roadster has been upgraded to 12 volt for easier starting more
dependability. Also included is an original tool kit. The car has
completed over 400 break-in miles and has recently had the valves
and carburetors adjusted per factory specifications. Hagerty No.1
Values lists this car at $233k. For more details and information,
