Vehicle Description
This custom 1967 Ford Shelby GT500 custom is motivated by a 514ci
Cobra Jet V8 engine coupled to a TREMEC 5-speed manual
transmission. The engine features dual Holley Double Pumper 750 CFM
carburetors, ARP studs, Crane camshaft, Griffin radiator and Super
Cobra Jet aluminum heads. The Cobra Jet engine howls through a set
of ceramic headers and a 2.5-inch exhaust system. The TR-3550
TREMEC gearbox has been bulked up by way of a McLeod Racing
hydraulic clutch and Lakewood Bulletproof Bellhousing. The GT500 is
in the Shelby Registry with a verified Marti Report. The GT500
rides on coilovers and features a Rod & Custom rack & pinion
steering system. Additionally, the shock towers have been deleted
and sub-frame connectors added. Stainless-steel brakes sit at all
four corners and provide ample stopping power. The exterior is
finished in Raven Black with Pearl White Shelby stripes and
features six coatings of clear coat. Hidden by limo-style tinted
windows, the black interior features Carroll Shelby's signature on
the dashboard, as well as the original Shelby gauges and snug
bucket seats. This GT500 has won numerous awards and includes
three-ring binders documenting the restoration and listing all
parts used.
