Vehicle Description
When you have the coolness of a VW camper, the premium name of
Winnebago, the size of a useful van, and the engine/suspension
package of a European, you realize that this is an awesome total
package that is a self-sustained home all by itself.
Those who know these Eurovan campers look for the final years like
this 2003 model. There are some terrific amenities you'll see there
that weren't offered elsewhere. Plus, the younger ones have a
fresher look. The white has a nice and bright shine that loves to
highlight the distinct body and crisply-done German sheetmetal.
Plus, there are great details, like the orange and blue
pinstriping, VW mud guards, and color-matched bumpers. This comes
from the masters at Winnebago, and while they're known for creating
road warriors that are larger than some people's homes, they also
know how to provide some great features in a camper van that's easy
to drive through a major city. For example, you get to make the
most out of the great outdoors wherever you park thanks to the
retractable awning on the passenger side.
We know you love this one because the Eurovan evokes the memories
of the Westfalia Bus, but the interior is far more modern than any
'60s camper you know. It starts up front with a very car-like dash
that includes terrific features, like air conditioning, power
windows, dual airbags, and an AM/FM/CD stereo with USB input for
your phone. Of course, what you really love this for is the living
room-style atmosphere it provides. That's why the front buckets
swing around to face the rear, the second row removes to be your
patio furniture, and the third row folds flat to complete a bed.
And you also get that iconic pop-top to have more protected
sleeping accommodations on the roof. All the amenities of home also
mean a built-in propane burner, sink with working faucet, pop up
table, built-in storage, and a refrigerator. There are on-board
water tanks, 110 plug-in with electrical fuse box, and even a
portable toilet. You have an outdoor water outlet in case you use
this for a surf wagon and need a roadside shower. And if you ever
need to bring even more pieces with you, there's a proper trailer
hitch.
These later Eurovans also mean this is has Volkswagen's excellent
VR6 engine. The 2.8-liter fuel-injected powerplant is the kind of
multi-valve motor that was also in the hot cars like the GTI. This
doesn't mean you're looking at the sports cars of campers, but it
does give a much livelier attitude than many of the others. And
features like the cruise control and four-speed automatic
transmission w/overdrive are exactly what you want for highway
driving. You even have a fully independent suspension! Plus, with
power steering and four-wheel power disc brakes, your comfort will
be the envy of the other VW campers out there.
This is a smooth-driving machine that has the appeal of a VW and
the quality of a Winnebago. That's an unbeatable combo that's just
begging to be back out on the open road. Call today!!!
