Vehicle Description
A 1948 Willys Jeepster is already quite distinctive. So when
attractive vintage looks meet some nice upgrades, including V8
power, then you know you're looking at something special. And
that's even before you saw the affordable price!
You're looking at a lot of firsts. After all, the Jeepster is the
original SUV/crossover. While all Jeepsters are a rare sight, you
get the distinction of a 1948 model: its first year ever. So the
history has appeal even before you check out the details. This
includes some great brightwork vintage pieces, like chrome center
waterfall grille, side steps plates to give rear passengers an
alternative way to enter, and the rear bumper with Willys Overland
stamped in the center. Plus, it's great to see the body trim
package used as a clear dividing line for the classic
Luzon Red and black paint package.
While this one comes with full side curtains and a newer vinyl top,
we all really know a classic like this is meant to be open to the
world. And they made sure this looks good with a coordinated
package where the exterior red returns on the dash and the black is
on the seats, door panels, and carpeting. But you can also
instantly tell this one has some cool upgrades. For example, the
gauge panel is now a full Stewart Warner readout package. And they
have cleanly installed provisions for air conditioning under the
dash. Plus, the radio may be in the correct position on the left
side of the dash, but now it's an AM/FM/CD unit with USB input so
that you can have the most modern music while cruising around in
this vintage droptop.
The upgraded engine bay was made to show off. After all, not only
do you have a ton of polish on pieces like the valve covers, air
topper, alternator, brackets, and radiator shroud, but also it's
all doubled thanks to the mirror-like firewall. And the reason for
so much showmanship is because this is a 350 cubic-inch V8 upgrade,
which is more than two and half times more displacement than
original! It's topped with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor
w/electric choke. So the V8 both inhales deeply and fire up
readily. The motor exhales with a sweet tune through a newer
glasspack dual exhaust. And because this is the kind of classic
you're going to love cruising in, they upgraded the driving
experience with great features like an improved independent front
suspension, a three-speed automatic transmission, power steering,
and power brakes w/discs up front.
This Jeepster retains its classic style, but also adds upgrades for
power and comfort to make it a great driving classic. So if you
love distinction you can enjoy on the open road, call today!
