Vehicle Description
This custom 1971 K5 CST Blazer has a 6.0-liter LS engine swap and
is backed by a 4L80E transmission with an advanced adapter
supporting the NP205 transfer case. The engine features a Holley
EFI Sniper high-rise intake manifold, ceramic-coated Headman
headers, ICT black pulley front drive, Dirty Dingo ECU mount, and a
DeWitt's aluminum radiator with all-stainless lines and hoses.
Custom air intake. Vintage Chevrolet valve covers with hidden coil
pack adapter plates. The Blazer chassis has been completely
reworked and all holes welded up. Has TIG welded custom fabricated
crossmembers, suspension hangers and shackles. Finished in
high-gloss black powder coat, this K5 sits on 37-inch BFG KM3 tires
wrapping 17-inch American Racing wheels. Features 8-lug Dyna axles,
Fox 2.0 shocks and 4-wheel Wilwood disc brakes backed by CPP
hydroboost for the ultimate stopping power. Chassis is finished off
with fully polished 3-inch TIG welded stainless exhaust tied with
MagnaFlow mufflers also finished in polished stainless steel.
25-gallon Boyd aluminum fuel cell. This corrosion-free body bas
been completely sandblasted, metalworked, bodyworked and refinished
to concours-quality, finished in PPG Cement Gray with Ice White
two-tone. The body has been retrofitted with a 1967 front clip and
truck-style chrome side trim. Hand pinstriped moldings, emblems and
tailgate to accent interior. Body also features hidden taillamp gas
filler. The fiberglass top has been completely refiberglassed,
gel-coated, bodyworked, retextured and refinished in factory satin.
The top has been upgraded with rear gas shocks, all precision
weatherstripping and all-new glass. The Blazer body has undergone a
complete color sand and three-stage buff. The underside of body is
refinished just as nice as the outside. The body also has all-new
precision weatherstripping and new glass. This Blazer's interior is
Porsche Panamera red utilizing factory front bucket seats and a
factory rear bench seat with Snowden foam. The interior also
features color-matched Classic Instruments gauges, half-wrapped
billet steering wheel with all-new tilt steering column, a TIG
welded color-matched roll cage and is cooled by a brand-new Vintage
Air system. The stereo is powered by a RetroSound head unit with
custom-made speaker panels that hold two Pioneer 5.5s, two 6x9s and
one 12-inch subwoofer. The body, chassis and engine are all tied
together with an American Autowire harness, professionally
installed to fit perfectly. Dynamat sound-deadening has been
installed throughout. This 1971 Blazer is a true CST with a
nut-and-bolt body-off concours restoration uusing only the best
parts available, while pushing the limits of extreme attention to
detail.
