Vehicle Description
This documented late-production 1968 R-code 428 Cobra Jet Mustang
is one of 119 automatic CJ coupes produced. It came equipped with
the factory GT package and features the 428ci V8 Cobra Jet engine
with 4.30 Traction-Lok 9-inch rear end and radio delete. It has
never suffered the dreaded "lost engine" due to racing issues and
retains its complete matching-numbers drivetrain. This Mustang GT
underwent a complete concours restoration resulting in numerous
high-level awards, including Gold Concours Driven by the
International Mustang Club of America the very first time shown. It
is listed in the Cobra Jet Registry. This vehicle includes a Marti
Report and a copy of the Window Sticker, showing it is one of one
manufactured in June 1968. It has also been featured in the CJ
Registry calendar and Hemming's Muscle Machines magazine.
