This is about as nice a truck as you could order from Ford in 2001. It is luxurious, heavy-duty and attractive. It will haul six people and lots of cargo. It has the towing capacity to pull a very large trailer.
It has been used to tow a horse trailer for most of its life. The odometer now reads 248,033. Which is about 13,000 miles per year. It is very evident that this truck was well-cared for. It looks to have always been garage kept. There is no ugly rust and the paint is not all faded out. The interior shows minimal wear. The seats are not ripped, the carpet is still very nice and the dash is not cracked. There are no bad stains or odors.
The interior of the box is not beat up. It looks like the bedliner was installed when new. The topper has kept the elements from causing damage. The topper itself is in great condition. The topper door locks with the key. The tailgate locks with the key.
We have gone over this truck and fully inspected it. The only feature we have found that is not properly functioning is the parking brake. The doors lock and unlock with the remote or the key. There is a second set of keys. The spare tire is properly stowed beneath the rear of the truck. The jack, handle and lug wrench are properly stowed beneath the hood.
There is a built-in battery charger and engine heater that are powered by the same cord. This is a very handy feature. The engine heater can be unplugged for the summer.
