Vehicle Description
Some lofty expectations come with its high impact niche and this
1932 Ford Coupe Streetrod exceeds them by figurative miles. This is
an absolute top-quality build that's logged a mere 1000 miles since
going into service and combines world class visual appeal with a
well-configured, powerful drivetrain and an inviting, ultra-sharp
interior to make for a truly standout ride.
The sheer head turning magic of this Ford becomes evident right
away. It already started with quite a memorable foundation - the
Fords of this era were stylish rides that readily lent themselves
to the aftermarket customization this one represents so well. It's
draped in magnetic purple paint that is without a doubt show
quality, with a deep shine that seems to be coming from a foot
beneath the surface of the exterior and skillfully applied, subtle
ghost flames decorating the prominent hood. Shaved door handles and
a tastefully chopped cabin add still more distinction, while the
low, inclined stance strikes a fine balance - dropped enough to
pull focus while still leaving enough clearance to navigate real
world driving situations. The flowing front and rear fenders frame
the aftermarket wheels perfectly and are bridged by broad running
boards wearing fresh rubber step pads. Every piece of chrome on
board is in top form as well, from the signature grille and
headlights up front to the custom rear bumper and taillight casings
in back.
A nicely detailed saddle leather interior awaits beyond the doors.
In contrast to the often-seen "louder is better" sensibilities
shown by many of its counterparts, this driving environment is
tastefully understated and if you glance around, you'll see
evidence of plenty of skilled workmanship. The leather bench seat
is in pristine condition and it's surrounded by matching surfaces,
including the door panels and headliner. Take your place behind the
padded aftermarket steering wheel perched on its tilting column and
take ahold of the Lokar shifter and you'll get quite an urge to
fire this beauty up and get out on the boulevard to an audience of
admiring onlookers. A striking chrome panel surrounds an instrument
cluster filled with fresh AutoMeter gauges. In addition to the
attention this classic will no doubt attract, it offers a level of
comfort not generally associated with streetrods - in addition to
its standout seating accommodations, air conditioning makes this
Ford a joy to drive year round, an Alpine AM/FM/CD stereo sits at
the center of the dash to provide a quality audio experience, while
power windows, power door locks and remote door openers make
getting in and out a breeze.
You'll have plenty of dependable power at your disposal in this
street machine. An impeccably dressed 350 cubic inch V8 takes
center stage in the engine compartment, wearing a pair of
Centerbolt heads and armed with a mild street cam for some added
muscle that comes at no expense to drivability. Fed by a Weber
4-barrel carb that sits on an Edelbrock intake manifold, the fresh
engine is good for 330 horses, plenty to propel this fairly
lightweight vehicle with authority and it sends a nice deep note
into its headers as it teams with a 3-speed automatic TH350
transmission that shifts without issue. Coilover suspension at both
ends provides a smooth ride, while power discs at all four corners
bring the set of staggered American Racing wheels - 14" Torq
Thrusts up front and 17" deep dish wheels in back - to low effort,
fade resistant stops.
Outstanding attention to detail and tasteful customization combine
to make this 1932 Ford Coupe Streetrod an absolutely top notch
