Vehicle Description
This Corvette custom convertible is powered by a special-order GM
Gen 5 LT1 6.2-liter V8 crate engine featuring a computer system
with Lectric Limited Corvette body wiring harness that provides
instant power. The engine is mated to a TREMEC 6-speed manual
transmission and a Winters quick-change rear with 3.70 gearing
nestled between heavy-duty C7 rear axles and ZR1 hubs. The engine
breathes through Billy Boat polished stainless-steel headers with
side-exit exhausts. Keeping the engine cool is a custom DeWitts
big-block polished radiator with dual fans, underpinned by a custom
round-tube super chassis with C7 Z06 suspension. Keeping it upright
is a set of Viking dual-action coilovers with 18 different settings
for ride control, front and rear C7 sway bars, C7 Z06 Z51 brake
package with 14-inch rotors and hydraulic over electric power
brakes. The steering has been addressed with the addition of a
Stiletto quick-steer power rack & pinion system linked to a Flaming
River tilt steering column topped by a Billet Specialties steering
wheel. The parking brake operates off the original E-brake handle,
but is now electrically operated. Painted in a bright silver, all
the bumpers have been triple-chrome-plated, and all the stainless
has been painstakingly polished. Nice touches abound inside, with
Al Knoch custom quilted black leather upholstery with
double-stitched red trim, Vintage Air, power windows, power Z06
seats, power decklid and custom modified C6 waterfall between the
seats. If the sounds from the engine and exhaust aren't enough,
crank up the Custom Sound retro radio with Bluetooth, power amp and
6x9" speakers in the back. New LOF tinted glass will keep the sun
at bay, and drivers will dig the original gauges with new
electronics and Sky Drive. Grand Sport wheels wrapped in Nitto
low-profile red line tires give this professionally built Sting Ray
an impressive stance. Includes owner's manual and photo book of
