Vehicle Description
This Ford GT was built early in the 2005 production run. It is
being offered by Neil Ressler, a key executive in Ford Product
Development. Ressler was instrumental in the formation of the
Special Vehicle Team and the design and development of the 2005-06
Ford GT. It is powered by a 5.4-liter V8 engine with a 6-speed
manual transmission. Midnight Blue was the chosen exterior color
and it is only one of two cars built with an unapproved color
combination. Ford stipulated that any car with the Midnight Blue
exterior must, if it had graphics, be white graphics. This GT has
silver stripes. The car is highly original with the optional wheels
and audio system. It features billet suspension arms that are
machined from ingots of aluminum. The axle bolts have been replaced
and the Takata airbag inflators have been replaced with Autoliv
inflators. This car has 4,100 actual miles, has spent its whole
life in an air-conditioned garage and it has never been on a
racetrack. This GT includes all documents from the factory initial
build and subsequent service. Also included are team clothing and a
team book, that were only available to team members.
