Vehicle Description
This 1963 Chevrolet Corvette coupe is a professionally built
re-creation of the Zora Arkus-Duntov Grand Sport. Power is provided
by a GM Lingenfelter LS6 5.7-liter engine with polished aluminum
dress mated to a GM 6-speed manual transmission. It was built on a
dimensionally correct 4-inch tube chassis finished to the original
Grand Sport engineering specifications and modified to adapt the
lightweight alloy late-model Corvette drivetrain, front and rear
suspension. It is equipped with power disc brakes with drilled and
slotted rotors, coilover front independent mono-leaf rear
suspension, power windows, power rack & pinion steering, alloy
wheels, Ididit steering column, Vintage Air and a stainless-steel
fuel tank. This re-creation features a Grand Sport Daytona hood and
body flairs with rear quarter air-exit slots, multiple holes in the
rear fascia to facilitate air exit, brake fluid door on the
driver's side front fender, relocation of the fuel filler situated
behind the seats, redesign of the door handles, and large rear
functional brake cooling air intakes located on each side of the
rear deck. In addition, there is a small trunk and a Plexiglas rear
window with no split, which increases rear visibility for the
driver.
