Vehicle Description
This 1955 Chevrolet 150 Custom 2-Door Post went through a
frame-off, nut-and-bolt restoration and is powered by a 350/350hp
Ram Jet V8 engine mated to a General Motors 4L65E 4-speed automatic
transmission. It features a Ford 9-inch rear end with 3.55 gears
and a 4-link suspension. This Chevy rides on a full Art Morrison GT
chassis that has been powder-coated and features
ride-height-adjustable coilover shocks on all four corners and
large sway bars. To slow down, it has 4-wheel Wilwood disc brakes
with slotted rotors and an E-Stopp electric parking brake. The
exterior is finished high gloss black with Lilac and Blue Pearl
ghost flames. There are many subtle custom features to the body
that include streamlining the hood profile, removing the wing
windows, replacing the gas filler door with a taillight gas filler,
frenching the radio antenna, smoothing the bumpers, installing
flush-level door handles and a custom billet grille. The red and
white Del Ray interior has been upgraded with an Ididit tilt
steering column with push-button start, customized original
steering wheel, Panasonic stereo system with front door and
backseat custom panel speakers. A Vintage Air Gen IV intelligent
climate control system with Dakota Digital DCC-2400 controller was
installed to maintain the cabin temperature, and it includes a
dehumidify and defrost mode. The ash tray was removed and the glove
box elongated to contain the hidden controls for the security
system, gas filler switch and parking brake switch. The in-dash
heater controls and radio were removed and Dakota digital gauges
were installed. Further upgrades include keyless entry, power
steering, power windows, power door locks and power seats.
