Vehicle Description
This big-brake Corvette received a 5-year, frame-off, nut-and-bolt
restoration that was completed in 2011. It's powered by a
matching-numbers 283/270hp engine mated to a 4-speed manual
transmission. This is one of 142 Corvettes in 1959 with the RPO684
factory option of heavy-duty brakes and heavy-duty racing
suspension. The exterior is finished in Roman Red with white coves,
with a black soft-top over a red interior. It's equipped with a
posi-traction rear end, sun visors, courtesy light, heater, Wonder
Bar radio and clock. It includes the original hardtop, which is
painted but not complete. The original heavy-duty front springs
were swapped out with standard 1959 front coils. The original
coils, as well as four chrome wheels with radial tires, are
included with the vehicle.
