Vehicle Description
Built by Ridler Award-winner O'Connell Specialties, this is a
cutting-edge hot rod with many modifications and features,
including a custom chassis. This car has been shown at World of
Wheels, NSRA and Goodguys. It has been featured in multiple
magazines, which are included with the sale. The vision of the
build was to keep the old-school styling but have it handle and
perform like a modern Corvette. High-quality craftsmanship is
evident throughout. During the restoration the hood was shaved and
filled, and the center seam was welded for a one-piece look. The
door handles and rear deck were also shaved and filled. The front
and rear gravel shields were molded to the body. The custom
headlights were frenched into the fenders. The exterior body is
laser-straight with excellent panel fitment. The body was painted
the Corvette 50th Anniversary Red and silver colors, which looks
beautiful. The colors are separated with an airbrushed molding that
was done to simulate the factory trim piece. The BASF paint is high
show-quality and ocean deep. It has all new tinted glass
throughout. The factory vent glass was removed and one-piece glass
was added. Some of the exterior custom features include the sport
mirrors, front grille, California-style one-piece front and rear
bumpers, power antenna, LED taillights with flat lenses and a rear
49 Chevy license plate frame. The car has a great stance on
Corvette Z06 chrome wheels, 18x9 on the front and 20x10 on the
rear. The wheels are wrapped with Continental Extreme tires. The
one-of-a-kind leather interior is truly stunning. The dash, center
console and door panels were custom-made. The dash is outfitted
with Classic Industries gauges that look great in the center. The
face of the center console is stainless steel and it extends to the
rear with cup holders. Some of the custom interior features include
a suede headliner and sun visors, dome light, billet vents, leather
door panels with billet hardware, leather bucket seats with suede
inserts and power driver's seat, Vintage Air heating and air
conditioning, power windows, B&M Quick Silver shifter and
aluminum pedals. It's equipped with a 1,000-watt sound system that
sounds amazing. It has keyless entry, including remote start. The
trunk compartment was boxed and upholstered in matching leather. It
houses three Rockford Fosgate amplifiers and two Rockford Fosgate
subwoofers. The amplifiers rack folds down to access the Rock
Valley 25-gallon fuel cell, chrome fire extinguisher and two
batteries with power cutoff knob. The painted engine compartment is
highly detailed throughout with great attention to detail. The
firewall, inner fender and radiator support were fabricated. The
car is powered by a supercharged LS1 V8 engine with over 500hp. The
aluminum block and cylinder heads, Magnuson polished supercharger,
fuel injection and intercooler, along with the Street & Performance
wiring harness, do the trick. The engine is dressed with a custom
intake, valve covers, pulleys and much more. The engine is cooled
with a custom Be-Cool aluminum radiator, along with a custom shroud
and side-mounted aluminum reservoirs. The engine breathes through
Sanderson headers and a completely polished center exhaust system
with MagnaFlow mufflers. The engine is coupled to a beefy 4L60E
automatic transmission. The power is transferred to the C5 Corvette
Getrag transaxle with 3.20 gears. The painted undercarriage is
highly detailed to the extreme. It sports a custom tube chassis by
O'Connell Specialties. It's equipped with rack & pinion power
steering from a 1987 Corvette. It has C5 Corvette front and rear
suspension, including modified sway bars, coilovers and custom
crossmember. It also has power brakes with Corvette slotted rotors
and calipers. This car has been driven over 7,000 miles since
completion and has been proven to be very reliable. This car has
recently been serviced and detailed, which is documented with an
invoice that is included.
