Vehicle Description
Chevelle's top trim model in 1968 was the SS396. This SS396 was
originally built in late November 1967. It was the recipient of a
high-quality professional concours restoration in its original
colors of Ermine White with a red interior. It retained many
original parts and mainly received new factory Chevrolet NOS parts,
or high-quality reproduction when not available. The final result
was incredible paint, trim, body lines and fitment, with only
break-in miles. It's powered by an upgraded 396/350hp L34 V8 engine
with a 4-speed manual transmission and features a 12-bolt
posi-traction rear differential with 3.31 gears. The options
include bucket seats, center console with Hurst shifter, factory
tachometer with gauges, radio and a remote mirror. It rides on an
F40 heavy-duty front and rear suspension, with power steering,
power disc brakes. The exterior is highlighted with body side
accent stripes, tinted windows, front and rear bumper guards,
2-1/2-inch dual exhaust and red line tires.
